The EUSPA has officially launched the #myEUspace competition for 2022. It is available to all EU Member States, Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland. This competition is a great opportunity for those who are seeking support to turn their ideas into prototypes or to take their ideas directly to the market.

#myEUspace competition is open now!

The #myEUspace competition is an annual competition organized by the EU Agency for the Space Program. The goal is to challenge innovators and entrepreneurs to create new and innovative solutions that specifically utilize data coming from Galileo, Copernicus, or data from both of these systems.

All submitted ideas must tie into one of three areas:

Space my life: Consumer solutions such as mobile applications, gaming and entertainment, sports and fitness, tourism, wearables (smart watches or glasses), or drones or robots that address major societal challenges.

Our Green Planet: Solutions for environmental challenges and sustainable life that contribute to the implementation of the European Green Deal as well as the green transformation of corporations.

Dive in Deep Tech: Solutions that combine EU space data with deep technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum, blockchain, the metaverse and extended reality, mixed reality, and virtual reality that address major societal challenges in areas such as biotech, medtech, and fintech.

All applications will be assessed based on innovativeness, market potential, feasibility, relevance to the EU Space Programme, and operational capacity.

Winners will receive an allotted amount of the nearly EUR 1 million prize purse. The 15 best ideas that have high market potential will receive a cash price of EUR 10k each. The 10 best prototypes or beta versions will receive a cash prize of EUR 30k each. The 5 best products will receive a cash prize of EUR 100k each. Teams can compete and win in multiple categories.

The #myEUspace competition is open to all EU Member States in addition to Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland.

The deadline for the Best Idea track is 30 November 2022, the Best Prototype track deadline is 10 February 2023, and the deadline for Best Products Track is 23 April 2023. When a team wins, they will be invited to showcase their solutions to the public and investors during the Contest Finals which will be part of June 2023's Entrepreneurship day.
